Our up-coming themes are:

Apr 15 Nehemiah Jerusalem's Walls Were Rebuilt
Apr 22 Ezra Ezra Read the Law
Apr 29 Malachi The Prophet

May 20 Review Last week of Sunday School

The Israelite 70 year timeout is finally done!!! After being exiled because of the disobedience, God’s people are finally going home. While it is a celebration, there is also work to do. A new temple must be made and a wall is needed to protect the city of Jerusalem. Will God’s people learn from their “pre-timeout failures?” From Mar 18-Apr 25 we’ll see how the Israelites respond to the mercy God has shown them as they return home. One thing we know for sure, understanding the story of the Old Testament helps us better understand the New Testament and our God who gave His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.

Children's Message/Children in Church

For those families that cannot or choose not to attend the 9:15 service, a Children's Message is offered during the 10:45 worship service.  Kids are encouraged to come up to the front for this special message.  Parents with concern having their kids in church with them are encourage to print off a copy of our "Bringing Joy to Having Kids in Worship with Me"  hand-out or pick-up a copy from our Faith @ Home Resource Center.

More Faith @ Home Info

The Sunday School format is part of the Faith @ Home effort to encourage the community of St. Paul Lutheran to prepare for and discuss the weekly sermon or Sunday School lesson.  To help in this endeavor resources are provided to help families/individuals at home. Our 2016-2017 Sunday School (and Worship) will focus on a Chronological look at the Bible.  We'll start at the very beginning (Creation) and follow the events as they unfold in the Old Testament.  Families are encouraged to discuss the up-coming theme at home. The sermon and Sunday School lesson will then help to reinforce these Biblical events/apply them to our lives.  With Sunday lessons based on the same theme, both children and adults receive an age appropriate message which they can discuss at home together.
